Quiet, the nasturtium
reaches from the crown
a corner of serenity
safe from night winds
and lunching wildlife
filtered sunlight
just enough to nurture
colours and waves
Buddha smiles
forgiving us our neglect
the harm of winter’s cold
a cheek scar like a river
contained and useful
caressed by a single
soft stem~

On this cool mystery morning
on a rise after the rain
Might be you’re the last one standing
soundless these moments remain
Forest life force bounty
breathe in take a full step in view
Mother Earth songs calling
let their melody rest within you

I got a little wire in my soul
helps me believe I’ll never grow cold
When I falter I feel a gentle jolt
I got a little wire in my soul
I can’t see it and nor can you
Pretty sure it’s hot electric blue
Keeps me learning always something new
I got a wire in my soul.
