When To Be Still

walking slow

through crowds

unrelenting scatting voices

crossing peace gardens

hush hush

why must it be explained

gravel walkway

gaits of many crunch arrhythmic beat

insert noise here

before a tranquil lily pond

placate this uneasy heart

oh white mulberry

humble leafy shelter for me and

this still trani meditation stone🪶

Mind in a Suitcase

thoughts get lost in a lost overfull suitcase

keys in a pocket get lost separately

treasures of memories sewn deep

in silver lining soaking now in a dark salty sea

maybe the seal will have to succumb

all your collectable colours be displayed

dolphins and whales and sea urchin

explorers will all take a part of you away

give no quarter to thoughts of rescue

gone is gone for ever in the drink

what was once becomes eventually

withered remains or a part of an unexpected

imagined or hopeful and though unseen

something shining brilliant and new🪶

The World is Lonely

In the place of tall trees

I go walking

Bird song rises

Human sounds fade

One or two dog wanderers quiet smiling

Calm passages

Light flicks between flutter leaves

There’s a chair been delivered by someone

maybe needing a place sometimes to go

maybe needing away from their chaotic all

Maybe they close their eyes here and listen

simmer runaway minds and just hum

The world is abundant

All is possible

There’s joy of life and there’s beauty

There’s danger threat and fear

The world can feel so heavy

Humanity’s suffering is everywhere plenty

Some of us find less Lonesome in here🪶
